Hair Analysis Body Health Test

We utilize medical history and hair analysis to assess your pet's level of key minerals in the body and screen for any toxic metal accumulation.

Minerals are the "spark plugs" of life. They are involved in almost all enzyme reactions within the body. These enzyme reactions are what keep us radiant, alive and at optimal health. Without proper mineral levels, these enzyme reactions become inefficient and eventually more seriously impaired.

Who should get hair mineral nutrient testing?

  • Dogs, Cats and Horses at 3-6mo of age

  • All animals on an annual basis

  • Every 3-6 months for animals with identified deficiencies that we are treating

What are the chances that my pet has a nutritional deficiency?

In a retrospective study of 564 dogs with clinical signs presented for hair testing over a 12 year period, 94% where found to have changes consistent with inflammation and chronic stress.

Many animals are born with mild nutritional deficiencies due to the diet, stress level, inflammation level and other overall health factors of their mother. Kibble diets, vaccination, weaning, leaving the nest to go to a new home, surgery (spay/neuter) adds stress to the body and can amplify low level deficiencies. Identifying and correcting these as early as possible greatly improves the chance of an excellent outcome.

A trace mineral hair test is an invaluable screening tool. We recommend all pets be tested on an annual basis. Hair analysis can help determine what is happening with the thyroid, adrenal, pituitary glands, immune system and intestinal lining. It gives an indication of how that individual deals with carbohydrates, sugars, proteins, and enzymes.

Unhealthy and undesirable behaviors can be caused by abnormalities in key minerals, mineral ratios and/or the presence of toxic metals. Correcting these issues helps to bring the animal’s behaviors back under their control and improve their overall wellbeing.

Hair analysis is an efficient means to determine which vitamins, minerals, herbs and diet changes will be most beneficial for your pet. A hair test can help keep your pet feeling their best for many years to come.
